Psychology major advisors generally provide guidance with:

  • Changing to a Psychology Major (PSYC BA) [or adding 2nd major]
  • Adding a Psychology Minor (PSYC or Human-Systems Integration)
  • The Psychology Honors Program
  • Reviewing MySJSU MyAcademics "progress toward degree" output
  • Using non-SJSU courses to meet psychology major/minor requirements (including study-abroad, CLEP, AP, etc.)

***NOTE:  for General Education (GE) advising or non-Psychology requirements you should contact the relevant department or the College of Social Science Student Success Center.  

HOW TO GET ADVISING: 

1. Meet In-Person or Online (via Zoom) with a Psychology Major Advisor

To meet with an advisor, scroll down to see their availability and use the links by their name to make an in-person or online Zoom appointment.  You may also visit during their drop-in hours without an appointment.  

***NOTE:  Summer is drop-in or email only.  Fall/Spring appointments are made via Spartan Connect.  If you have not used Spartan Connect before, see this Spartan Connect Tutorial (requires an SJSU email; the appointment confirmation will provide the zoom link if online)
