Our team of enrollment counselors is here to support you along every step in your application and admissions experience so that no matter where you are in life, you can – and you will – excel with SJSU Online and Professional Education.

There are a few California State University requirements to be eligible for admission to our programs. Even if you don't meet all of these requirements at this time, our Enrollment Counseling team will happily work with you to get you in a position to submit a successful application in the near future.
Complete at least 60 transferable semester or 90 quarter units. A maximum of 70 semester units from community colleges can be transferred toward the degree. Depending on the program, you could have as few as 50 semester units at the time of application.

Some of our programs also have additional admissions requirements, such as prerequisites. Please visit your program page of interest to review those requirements before you apply.
If you live outside of California, check whether our program is approved to accept an application from you.
Students from Oregon enrolled in an SJSU Online program will be subject to Oregon State requirements for transferring course works. Specifically, a grade of “C” or better must be earned in all General Education courses.

SJSU students who are either currently enrolled in an on-campus program or have been enrolled in the previous two semesters and would like to transition to an SJSU Online and Professional Education program should meet with an academic advisor in their program of study before trying to change programs. If after speaking with an advisor in your program you decide to change your major, you should:
Finish your current semester courses or work with your advisor to officially withdraw from your courses.
Complete the SJSU Welcome Back form for SJSU Online so that our enrollment counseling team can contact you regarding next steps.
Once you’ve been a part of SJSU, you’re always part of our community. If you were previously enrolled in an SJSU degree program, have been away from SJSU for two or more semesters, and are not currently on a leave of absence or educational leave, you could be eligible to complete the SJSU Welcome Back form for SJSU Online in lieu of the CSU application.
If you were previously academically disqualified from continuing your enrollment at SJSU, reinstatement is a process that allows you to restore good academic standing so that you can reapply via Cal State Apply and become a fully matriculated student again. View a full outline of the reinstatement process on the SJSU Registrar website and contact our Enrollment Counseling team to support you through the process.
As you complete your program, you are absolutely eligible to participate in your college's commencement ceremony so you can proudly cross the stage with all other SJSU graduates and celebrate with your loved ones.
When you graduate, you will earn and receive the same valuable bachelor's degree as SJSU on-campus students.
Our dedicated Enrollment Counseling team is passionate about helping you continue your journey towards completing your bachelor's degree.
